Darkseid has corrupted an entire universe. It’s already placed DC’s Trinity in underdog situations, so how would the Lord of Apokolips affect other DC characters?

Fans will likely see the Green Lantern Corps in the new Absolute Green Lantern comic series, and those who read DC All In #1––which kicked off the Absolute Universe––saw a glimpse of Darkseid’s new Legion of Super-Heroes. Groups like the Golden Age Justice Society, Suicide Squad and Teen Titans should also appear in this Absolute Universe, with darker, unfortunate changes.

Green Lantern Corps Debuts In March 2025

Fans don’t know much about the Absolute Green Lantern series, except that Jo Mullein, star of the Green Lantern: Far Sector series, will be the main character. Hal Jordan is on the cover, and it looks like the rest of the Earth’s Green lanterns will appear.

DC is promoting the Absolute Green Lantern series as a horror book, with the arrival of the Green Lantern repurposed as a deadly event rather than a gift from the stars. Fans eagerly await March 2025 and the debut issue of Absolute Green Lantern, curious about how the arrival of a Green Lantern Corps may affect the other Absolute characters.

Who Are The Absolute Teen Titans?

The Teen Titans may be a distant hope for the Absolute Universe. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are in their infancy here, so it may take years for the Absolute Teen Titans to debut. Still, the prospect of a Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, Cyborg, or even Golden Age Titans team in the Absolute Universe is intriguing.

Who would Robin become without Batman’s influence or Alfred’s guiding hand? Would characters like Raven and Starfire become villains, influenced by their parents or altered events in their pasts? If DC maintains the Absolute Universe for years to come, then the Teen Titans are a must.

Where Was The Absolute Justice Society?

Darkseid’s bad energy altered an entire universe, changing the circumstances of how Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman came to be heroes, but what about the Golden Age heroes who came before? Does the Justice Society simply not exist in this universe, or have they been altered like their modern counterparts?

If the Absolute Universe continues for years to come, then DC should consider adding the Justice Society to strengthen this new lore. The Justice League and Justice Society had some incredible team-ups in the prime DC Universe. Fans would love to see Absolute versions of those team-ups as well.

Readers have already seen Peacemaker (or, well, many versions of him) in Absolute Superman. Add any shady organizations teased in Absolute Batman, and DC could easily construct an Absolute Suicide Squad.

In the standard DC Universe, the Suicide Squad was a covert, black-ops team that handled situations the Justice League didn’t need to know about, with someone like Amanda Waller making those judgment calls. In an Absolute Universe where things are darker and shadier by default, a new Suicide Squad could thrive.

Absolute Justice League International Would Have An All-Star Cast

The Justice League was formed to combat substantial threats that no hero could handle alone. The Justice League International team’s origins were a little more complex. In some iterations, Batman formed the team as a “second Justice League.” In others, the team formed for political and marketable reasons.

If the Absolute Universe is against heroes like Superman and Batman, and it seems they are, then a Justice League International team could be the answer––heroes under the government’s jurisdiction and control. Absolute JL International could allow B-list characters like Blue Beetle or Guy Gardner to shine.

The Absolute New Gods Could Challenge Darkseid

Where are the New Gods? Readers can check out their new series for some of the answers. With Darkseid gone, the New Gods of New Genesis must have noticed. Highfather and his armies have warred with Darkseid and Apokolips for generations. After Darkseid infected his own universe, the New Genesis gods have to step in.

Fans would love to see heroes like Orion and Mister Miracle enter the Absolute Universe searching for Darkseid. The New Gods are multiversal, so it would be interesting to see standard versions of the New Gods interact, or even team up with, Absolute Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

Justice Incarnate Protects The DC Multiverse

The Justice Incarnate team are no strangers to threats like Darkseid or even the Anti-Monitor. Comprised of heroes from across DC’s multiverse, Justice Incarnate handles multiversal threats and even fought Darkseid in their own miniseries. Fans may not see an Absolute Universe version of Justice Incarnate, but maybe the original team is still out there.

If they are, the Justice Incarnate should be aware of Darkseid’s multiversal manipulation. The evil New God created his own corrupted universe––that’s something Superman and the Justice Incarnate team should investigate.

Darkseid’s Absolute Legion Of Super-Heroes

What will happen to the Absolute Legion of Super-Heroes in Darkseid’s new universe? DC All In Special #1 answered that question at its climax, shocking readers with the incredible scope of the new Absolute Universe. Darkseid didn’t stop with changing everything for a few key heroes, he changed everything into the future.

Booster Gold traveled to the future of the new Absolute Universe and discovered that Darkseid had transformed the Legion of Super-Heroes into his own, corrupted Omega army. There’s a good chance that readers will see Darkseid’s Legion again. The Justice League of Earth-0 will likely have to fight them if they want to save Booster Gold and stop Darkseid.

The Justice League Dark Faces The Horrors Of The Absolute Universe

The members of Justice League Dark usually team up to combat mystical threats in the DC Universe. Readers have seen glimpses of magic in the Absolute Universe through the Absolute Wonder Woman series. Circe is one of the most powerful sorcerers in the DC Universe.

If Wonder Woman needs help battling the forces of Hell, she should turn to the Absolute versions of people like Zatanna, John Constantine and Swamp Thing. DC could alter the Justice League Dark heroes in fascinating ways, making them more horrific and monstrous like the villains they fight.

DC’s Trinity already exists in the Absolute Universe. Granted, they’re very different from their Earth-0 counterparts. In the past, epic events have always forced DC’s heroes to team up and form the Justice League. The original Silver Age Justice League formed to fight Starro, and the New 52 Justice League repelled Darkseid’s invasion.

The Absolute Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman just need a common enemy to fight, something so powerful that they could not defeat them alone. It’s looking more and more likely that that threat will be Darkseid himself, and this Absolute Justice League may form to challenge his rule of their universe.
