After years away, the Justice League is back in action! And now, so is the Legion of Doom in the six-part crossover “We Are Yesterday,” which will run in DC Comics titles in April and May. Not only that, but the villains seem to have some inkling of what happened back in the DC All In Special, and the death of Darkseid.

The crossover kicks off on April 16 in the pages of Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38, written by Mark Waid with art by Dan Mora. In the issue, per PR provided to Comic Book Club, “The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight will be hard-pressed as it is to keep up with the psychic powers of DC’s sinister simian, but this time there’s something different, as if Grodd has knowledge of the future. And it remains to be seen what any of this has to do with the death of Darkseid!”

The issue will feature the first of three connecting covers by Mora, as well as variants by Gavin Guidry, Adrían Gutiérrez, Elizabeth Torque, and Brandt & Stein.

Then part two hits Justice League Unlimited #6 on April 23, also by Waid, with art by Travis Moore. In the issue, not only will the identities of ongoing villains Inferno be revealed, but Lex Luthor, The Joker, Cheetah and more have teamed up to take on the Justice League, too. The issue will feature another connecting cover by Mora, as well as variants by Lee Bermejo, Nathan Szerdy, Dan Jurgens, Felipe Massafera, and Moore.

April showers may bring May flowers, but April 30 brings Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual, written by — you guessed it — Waid, as well as Christopher Cantwell and Morgan Hampton, with art by Dan McDaid and Clayton Henry. In the issue, “The secret origin of the Legion of Doom is finally revealed, and DC’s worst super-villains have set in motion a scheme to lay waste to Batman, Superman, and the Justice League Unlimited.” The issue will also present a throwback tale featuring John Stewart, one of Mora’s signature connecting covers, and variants by Henry, Salvador Larocca, and Laura Braga.

The subsequent three parts of “We Are Yesterday” will hit stores in May, and are TBA. Will they be written by Waid? Probably! Will they feature three new connecting covers by Mora? We’ll see! In the meantime, you can check out all three of Mora’s covers, below.
