The last few years have certainly not been the best for Amber Heard, both professionally and personally, following her controversial divorce and media trial with ex-partner Johnny Deep.
In an attempt to get her acting career back on track, earlier this week the trailer for the DC Comics film ‘Aquaman 2’ (where she plays Mera) was unveiled, and, on Wednesday, the trailer for the horror film‘In the Fire’ hit social media. The movie will open in theaters and be available digitally from October 13.
On June 24, the film was screened at the 69th edition of the Taormina Film Festival in Italy, where Heard commented the following to People magazine: “It’s about the limits that love can cross and its creation, really the overwhelming power that love has. I don’t want to sound corny about it, but it’s a movie about love”.
Here is the official synopsis of the film: “In 1899, Grace Victoria Burnham, a pioneering psychiatrist, travels to a remote farm in Colombia to treat a disturbed boy named Julian. Julian has supernatural powers, and the local community believes he is possessed by the devil. Grace must fight the community’s fury and the darkness that stalks Julian to save him.”
Amber Heard shares the screen with: Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Sophie Amber, Luca Calvani and Yari Gugliucci.
‘In the Fire’ is directed by Connor Allyn, known primarily for his work as executive producer of the Mexican film ‘Ya no estoy aqu?’ (2019).
