We’re only one day away from being able to finally watch Batman: Caped Crusader on Amazon Prime and it’s looking and sounding amazing.

Fans of Batman are thrilled with the casting of Hamish Linklater as the Dark Knight, taking to social media to praise his acting in the role.

We loved our time with Star Wars Outlaws and can’t wait to play more next month.

The casting came after the passing of Kevin Conroy who, for so many, is the voice of Batman.

At first, many thought that Linklater might not be able to hit the lofty goals of the series and deliver, but he has and he has done it impressively well.

“Hamish Linklater is absolutely killing it, can’t wait for the show!” said Papa Sprinkles on Twitter, who started a thread of compliments for the star.

Jenna Anderson, staff writer at Comic Book, has seen it early and she rates Linklater too, “I LOVED #BatmanCapedCrusader so much. It’s inventive, queer as hell, and surprising in so many ways. Hamish Linklater is, unsurprisingly, perfect as Bruce and Batman.”

This will be the first Batman project for Amazon Prime and fans have eagerly awaited its debut since production began.

There’s always a bit of trepidation with new Batman adaptations because everything has to be right, but early reactions are great.

BigScreenLeaks chimed in with their thoughts too, in full agreement: “Hamish Linklater’s performance as Batman is ridiculously phenomenal, and dare I say, on par with Kevin Conroy’s performance.”

I know I’ll be watching as soon as it drops tomorrow. The whole cast of the show is pretty stellar and from the above, I can only imagine that Linklater will easily stand out among the stars.

Chris Gallardo really hypes up the show saying, “The animation is beautiful, the action is exciting, and Hamish Linklater NAILS his version of the Dark Knight. Plus, so many of the villains are cool, but there’s one that truly takes the cake.”
