An Arrowverse & DCEU crossover fan trailer brings together several DC heroes for the biggest possible Crisis on Infinite Earths event. The Arrowverse’s multiple shows came together for a version of Crisis on Infinite Earths in 2019/2020. The crossover event featured characters from past live-action DC movies and TV shows, also including a hero from the DCEU in the form of Ezra Miller’s version of the Flash. However, a full-on Arrowverse and DCEU crossover never happened.

UltraSargent shared a Crisis on Infinite Earths fan trailer that imagines what a larger version of the event could have been, with more DCEU heroes involved alongside Arrowverse stars.

The imagined version of the crossover also includes other major movie characters who did not appear as part of the Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths cameos, such as Christian Bale’s Batman, Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern, and more. With James Gunn’s new DC Universe starting, there is a chance that future DCU movies will do their own version of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Zack Snyder commented on Henry Cavill’s Deadpool & Wolverine cameo and his Superman, and I agree with what he said, as the new DCU could use Cavill.

There Are A Few Key Reasons That Could Have Helped The Crossover

The major aspect of Crisis on Infinite Earths that would have been better as a movie is the project’s budget. The Arrowverse did not have enough money to make the crossover reach the huge level of excitement from the comics, which is reflected in moments like Crisis’ climactic final fight taking place in a quarry. A bigger budget could have led to more epic action set pieces to really set the high stakes of a multiverse-ending event.

Better CGI, several meaningful returning characters, more enticing action sequences, and a tighter script could have made Crisis on Infinite Earths the best live-action superhero crossover to date.

That bigger budget could also have been used to get more stars to come back as their DC characters for the crossover. The Arrowverse team tried to get as many DC live-action characters as possible for the crossover. There were some great moments, with Tom Welling and Erica Durance returning as Clark Kent and Lois Lane from Smallville being one of them. However, many of the cameos were either from minor characters or came in the form of archival footage.

The Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover was divided into five parts across different DC shows.

A Crisis on Infinite Earths movie could have been the ultimate form of the crossover in live-action. Better CGI, several meaningful returning characters, more enticing action sequences, and a tighter script could have made Crisis on Infinite Earths the best live-action superhero crossover to date. Still, what the Arrowverse managed to achieve with the crossover was unprecedented, and even with only one DCEU character appearing in it, there was enough in the event to please a wide range of fans, which is what it was all about in the first place.

The DC Universe is one of the biggest comic book franchises and often competes with Marvel. DC Comics started as National Allied Publications, founded by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in 1935. Since then, the franchise has exploded with thousands of comic books, movies, TV shows, and video games. 2013 marked the beginning of the most recent iteration of the superheroes, with Zack Snyder introducing Henry Cavill as Superman. After several movies with mixed reviews, DC underwent a soft reboot under the helm of James Gunn and Peter Safran.
