A new piece of information suggests Warner Bros. Games is developing a new game based on DC Comics IP. The potential DC game would join WB Games’ already-in-development soon-to-debut Batman: Arkham Shadow from Camouflaj and Monolith’s Wonder Woman.

Per ComicBook, a listing at WB Games Montreal revealed that the studio wants “a Senior Producer to join its Game Development team, working on AAA titles set in the DC Comics Universe.” The listed role was reportedly removed from the job description after fans flagged it, possibly to prevent the disclosure of the game in question. The possibility also remains WB accidentally placed the description in the listing. With an immense stable of characters and superhero teams to choose from, including Superman, Green Arrow, Flash, Justice League, Teen Titans, and the Green Lantern Corp, it would be impossible to speculate which property the potential game would be based on.

Alien Isolation Sequel Officially Confirmed

Developer Creative Assembly has finally confirmed the long-awaited sequel to Alien: Isolation.

News of WB Games Montreal developing another DC project is unsurprising, given it has worked on several DC properties since its inception in 2010, including Batman: Arkham Origins and Gotham Knights (meaning a Gotham Knights sequel cannot be ruled out as the new game in development). WB Games also did support work on the infamous Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Rocksteady Studios is reportedly working on a new Batman Game that could be a PS5 or PS6 exclusive, depending on its release window. Nick Baker revealed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the studio behind the Batman: Arkham game series and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had a new Batman title in the offing and that Sony was trying to get in on the fun. “I’m not sure which studio people’s dream is, but I heard Rocksteady is back making it. I also think Sony is trying to money-hat it lol,” Baker’s tweet reads.

Moneyhatting refers to using financial incentives or bribes to gain leverage over one’s competitors, and it could be speculated Sony may intend to acquire some form of exclusivity regarding a PS5 or PS6 release for the Rocksteady Batman game. The report about the potential collaboration came after Rocksteady recently let go of several staff members following the underperformance of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which could affect the Batman game’s development.

Staff members, who requested anonymity, insisted Rocksteady’s QA department job losses, which affected team members with specialized knowledge, would leave their remaining colleagues with a treacherous workload. Rocksteady senior management acknowledged product quality could suffer as a result.
