Superman & Lois season 4 concept art pieces show Jordan and Jonathan Kent with new Superboy costumes for the DC TV drama. After more than a decade’s run on The CW, the DC TV era is almost over, as Superman & Lois season 4 will mark the final superhero chapter for the network. Superman & Lois is in the midst of its final season, with the Man of Steel finally back alive, and with both of his children now having inherited his powers.

A new listing on Amazon for Superman: The Definitive History by Edward Gross and Robert Greenberger provides several previews for the book on Superman’s live-action media. Thanks to a preview from the seller, two concept art pieces were revealed, focusing on Jordan and Jonathan donning their own Superboy costumes. Whether or not these are the final looks for Superman & Lois season 4 remain to be seen, as The CW and Warner Bros. TV haven’t revealed them in new photos for the final season.

What Jordan & Jonathan Kent’s Costumes Reveal Mean For Superman & Lois Season 4

While time will tell if these end up being Jordan and Jonathan’s actual looks for the show, it will be the first time in a while that the Superman & Lois season 4 cast has gotten a significant costume upgrade. In Jordan’s case, the show design is using one of the more recent designs from the comics era, mainly the Superboy suit from The New 52. This would be the first time that design has ever been used in a Superman live-action TV show or movie.

For Jonathan, the Superman & Lois design is leaning back to the 1990s Superboy costume, as this wouldn’t be the first time the show has explored that look for him. In Superman & Lois season 2, the Jonathan doppelgänger from the Inverse world had a rendition of that Superboy suit. However, if the concept art is any indication of where they are going with this Earth’s Jonathan, he will have a far more comic book-accurate design, especially with the color schemes.

Our Take On Jordan & Jonathan Kent’s Superman & Lois Superboy Costumes

If the concept art designs end up being the brothers’ final costumes in Superman & Lois series 4, it’d be great to see the show adapt two of Superboy’s iconic looks from the comics. While Superman & Lois had already adapted the 1990s costume in season 2, seeing The New 52 design in live-action is a genuine surprise and would be fascinating to see in action. Hopefully, more details about the Superboy costumes for Superman & Lois season 4 will be revealed sooner rather than later.
