Could a solo Big Barda series be next? Catch her in Batman #152, Birds Of Prey #11, and Absolute Power #3.

Big Barda, created by Jack Kirby for New Gods seems to be suddenly all over the DC Universe, like she’s the new Batman or something. Born on Apokalips, raised as a member of the New Gods, by Granny Goodness to lead the Female Fury Battalion, instead she falls in love with Scott Free, Mister Miracle, and two worlds explode. Her YA graphic novel got a 90,000 print run but she still hangs around on the regular comic book pages. We begin with her Birds Of Prey back-up in Batman #152 by Kelly Thompson and the remarkable Mattia De Iulis.

Even as the regular Birds Of Prey #11 is out today from Kelly Thompson and Gavin Guidry, also encouraging the fully-clothed-this-time Big Barda to make the leap.

She lands well in Batman #152, doing the Adi Granov Iron Man superhero landing.

She’s less sure on her feet in Birds Of Prey.

And while in Absolute Power #3 by Mark Waid and Dan Mora, now suited up, she is shut down by Nightwing…

But this is Big Barda we are talking about.

And she doesn’t listen to children… she kills them instead.

Can a Big Barda series be fast behind? Batman #152, Birds Of Prey #3 and Absolute Power #3 are all published today.
