DC Icon Teases Upcoming Absolute Event

A new event sure to reshape the DC Universe is due, according to one of its masterminds.

Alan Scott: The Green Lantern writer Sheridan is happy to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with the powerful DC Pride 2025 story. “DC Pride 2025 is a celebration of life, love, and the power of community—even and especially in uncertain times,” he said. “The roster of talent shaping this story is as epic as the story itself—so all I can say is buckle up for big action, bigger fun, and the biggest stakes yet. This book, as it has been in years past, is a way to reach out to our community and remind them we’re all in this together.”

The Neighbors‘ Jude Ellison S. Doyle is also excited to be a part of the project and helm the brand-new character Ethan Rivera. “It is such a huge honor to be part of the story DC has been telling,” he began. “And nd to help Josh Trujillo bring new character Ethan Rivera—along with my own personal soulmate and/or best friend, trans icon Blue Snowman—into this universe.”

Ayala discussed the creative process for DC Pride 2025. “What made this project extra special to me was the way that the collaboration of creating the anthology almost mirrors the framework and ultimate solution of the metaphor at the heart of it,” the writer explained. “We got together in a (virtual) room, each with ideas for our own piece of the narrative, and at the end of the time we had interwoven our stories in ways that make it hard to tell where one person’s contribution ends and another begins.”

DC Pride 2025 will debut on June 4.
