Pride Month is just around the corner and DC Comics is getting ready to honor the occasion with its milestone fifth edition of DC Pride. For the past several years, the publisher has lifted LGBTQIA+ writers and artists in this Pride-focused special, and this year, DC Comics has something really special in store for everyone.
Unlike previous anthologies, DC Pride 2025 will have a singular arc focused on Green Lantern Alan Scott that frames interweaving narratives with characters like Harley Quinn, the Question, Connor Hawke and more. Scott returns to a bar to pay tribute to a man he loved, only for these icons to wind up in strange worlds that tap into their greatest desires.
The special will feature stories by numerous creators such as Tim Sheridan, Vita Ayala, Josh Trujillo, Skylar Patridge, and more. DC Pride 2025 will also have a letter column fans can submit entries to via the DC Discord Server.

DC Comics is Honoring Pride with a Powerful New Anthology
In 2021, DC Comics celebrated Pride Month with the anthology one-shot, DC Pride. This anthology has become an annual celebration and, for the past four years, DC Comics has kept up the good work, lifting LGBTQIA+ creators and providing a space for touching, meaningful stories from all sorts of different people within the community. In more recent years, DC has expanded Pride’s presence in June. Not just with variant covers, but by creating additional books to go along with DC Pride, such as DC Pride: Through the Years or last year’s touching tribute, DC Pride: A Celebration of Rachel Pollack.
While this new DC Pride keeps the spirit of the anthology, it’s wonderful to see the special evolving into something new and even more creative. Alan’s journey in Alan Scott: The Green Lantern touched a lot of people, and it’s amazing to see his story continue and serve as a framing device for other LGBTQIA+ characters. It’s also great to see DC Comics bringing in readers via the letter column, asking them to tell their stories and share what Pride has meant to them. It’s simply great to see DC Comics continue to show its support for the LBGTQIA+ community.
DC Comics Isn’t Backing Down from Supporting Pride
It’s become an unfortunate sight to see companies back down from more inclusive efforts, with many toning down or even doing away with Pride acknowledgment altogether. Thankfully, DC Comics sees and recognizes the community, both the people that read and support these characters and stories as well as the people that create them. It’s nice to know that DC is standing firm and lifting its LGBTQIA+ characters and giving everyone an opportunity to see themselves in these stories. With everything DC Comics has in store, this could very well be its best Pride anthology yet.
DC Pride 2025 is available on June 4th from DC Comics.
