DC Comics just revealed the very first All-In crossover event.
Per DC Comics, this summer will mark the very first crossover event since the launch of the publisher’s new All-In initiative. The six-part crossover, entitled “We Are Yesterday,” will play out through the month of April, with the first three chapters taking place in the pages of Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38, Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual, and Justice League Unlimited #6. These three issues will all be available in connecting covers courtesy of all-star artist Dan Mora, with other variant covers coming courtesy of artists including Adrian Gutierrez, Elizabeth Torque, Gavin Guidry, Salvador Larroca, and more.

The Justice League Have Fallen to a Classic Evil Superman

The crossover event is slated to be helmed by fan-favorite writer Mark Waid, who will be working alongside a whole host of other co-writers and artists to bring the story to life on dozens of comic book pages. Things are set to begin on April 16, with Gorilla Grodd taking center stage in the pages of Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38. The official synopsis for the issue from DC Comics reads, “The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight will be hard-pressed as it is to keep up with the psychic powers of DC’s sinister simian, but this time there’s something different, as if Grodd has knowledge of the future. And it remains to be seen what any of this has to do with the death of Darkseid!”
The second part of the crossover will be released on April 23 in the pages of Justice League Unlimited #6 by Waid and Travis Moore. The third will arrive on April 30 in the Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual, written by Waid, Christopher Cantwell, and Morgan Hampton and featuring art by Dan McDaid and Clayton Henry. DC’s official synopsis for the upcoming annual issue reads, “The secret origin of the Legion of Doom is finally revealed, and DC’s worst super-villains have set in motion a scheme to lay waste to Batman, Superman, and the Justice League Unlimited. This exciting issue also presents the World’s Finest debut of John Stewart, the newest ring slinger of Sector 2814.”

This issue marked numerous major changes to the status quo of the DC Universe, including the official formation of the sprawling Justice League Unlimited. The DC All-In Special also marked the apparent death of the iconic villain Darkseid, whose destruction paved the way for his consciousness to traverse the Multiverse before merging with the fabric of the reality now known as the Absolute Universe.
