Warning: Spoilers for Wonder Woman #17
Wonder Woman‘s allies have formed the ultimate Trinity, putting the Justice League’s version to shame. When trying to come up with the best trio in DC Comics, the Trinity – Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman – typically comes to mind first and foremost. Now, a new Trinity has arrived, and the Wonder Girls are already on track to dethrone their predecessors as the best team-up the universe has to offer.
In Wonder Woman #17 by Tom King and Daniel Sampere, while Diana focuses on taking care of her newborn daughter, she sends Donna Troy, Cassie Sandsmark, and Yara Flor to infiltrate the Sovereign’s estate. Without Diana present, her enemies assume the Wonder Girls will be easy targets, but they prove the naysayers wrong by defeating some of Wonder Woman’s strongest villains.
The Wonder Girls fight in unison to vanquish their opponents, and what ultimately helps them claim victory is their stunning teamwork. Their combined efforts prove they deserve the same recognition that Wonder Woman and her classic Trinity receive.

Wonder Woman’s Sidekicks Unlock Each Other’s Full Potential
The Wonder Girls are all accomplices of Wonder Woman who have since evolved into their own formidable fighters. Their evolution is plain to see in the various paths they’ve taken beyond her shadow; Donna is the Titans’ new leader, Cassie has fought alongside Young Justice, and Yara has ascended to be one of the most powerful Amazons in DC lore. Their individual skills – from Donna’s proficiency with her Lasso of Persuasion to Yara’s resistance to mind control – are impressive enough, but when they join forces on the battlefield, they’re capable of vanquishing any foe who dares to stand in their way.

The Sovereign underestimates Wonder Woman’s sidekicks throughout this issue, claiming that his villainous protectors can dispose of them, but their teamwork grants them an unprecedented competitive edge. Donna saves Cassie from Angle Man, then Cassie passes the villain’s weapon to Yara so she can overpower Silver Swan and Giganta. Together, the Wonder Girls triumph, and they couldn’t have done it alone.

Sorry, Batman and Superman: Wonder Woman’s Allies Make a Better Trio
The Trinity status shared by Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman may seem to indicate a degree of teamwork between the trio, yet they don’t always work in unison. Their popularity as DC icons is what contributes to their “Trinity” moniker, whereas they do the majority of their superhero work without each other. On the other hand, the Wonder Girls display effortless synchronicity, functioning better together than they do apart. They fight as one rather than as three separate entities, and Wonder Woman‘s unstoppable team of Wonder Girls thus deserves to be honored as a true Trinity through and through.
Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is the superhero identity of Diana, Princess of the Amazons. Created on the island of Themyscira, Wonder Woman is a super-powered demi-goddess with extreme physical strength who utilizes magical gifts (like her famous Lasso of Truth) to defeat her foes. As mighty as her fellow heroes Superman and the Justice League, Wonder Woman is unmatched in her compassion and virtue.
