DC Comics‘ Absolute Universe will double in size with three new titles soon making their debut. Absolute Green Lantern, Absolute Martian Manhunter and Absolute Flash will all premiere in March 2025.

The Absolute Universe launched as part of DC’s new “All-In” publishing initiative. This alternate universe offers re-imagined takes on DC’s classic heroes, with Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman series already ongoing. Unlike traditional takes on the characters’ origins, the Absolute Universe’s heroes are underdogs, struggling without their usual powers and resources. AIPT recently revealed cover artwork and solicits for the new series starring Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and the Flash, which show what struggles they will face in the new world.

Lastly, Absolute Martian Manhunter #1, written by Deniz Camp, appears to go beyond the usual origin stories for J’onn J’onzz. “Beyond Mars…beyond physical form…beyond Human Understanding…all that’s left is the ultimate alien: the Absolute Martian Manhunter!” The series debuts one week after Absolute Green Lantern and Absolute Flash on March 26, 2025.

The Absolute Riddler Is Already Proving to Be Batman’s Most Valuable Ally

The Absolute version of one of Batman’s oldest foes is nothing like its predecessor, and it might even be the Dark Knight’s biggest asset.

Recently, Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder teased the arrival of some of The Dark Knight’s villains in the Absolute Universe, with Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze and Bane hinted as part of the upcoming story. In DC’s Absolute Batman, Bruce Wayne finds himself without his usual riches, and he has no Pennyworth at his side, forcing him to navigate crime in Gotham in a new way. It remains to be seen which villains will appear in the stories for the Absolute Universe’s Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Flash- but they’re very likely to shake up the heroes’ stories in exciting new ways.
