It’s the dead of winter, and any hope for a fragile truce between the Green Arrow-led human heroes and vampire queen Barbara Gordon’s army has been dashed by Damian Wayne and his guerrilla fighters. Damian is the only one fighting back against the bloodthirsty hordes, leaving Green Arrow with a choice: Does he stand and fight or sacrifice the boy in the name of peace?
Matthew Rosenberg and Otto Schmidt’s highly anticipated first issue of DC vs. Vampires: World War V is slated to hit comic book shelves and digital platforms on August 14, 2024. This 12-issue series promises to expand upon the gripping narratives introduced in DC vs. Vampires and DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War while also introducing fresh storylines.
Beloved characters such as Harley Quinn, Damian Wayne, Green Arrow, and Batgirl are set to make their return to the series, much to the delight of fans. However, what’s even more thrilling is the prospect of new characters joining the fray.
DC vs Vampires: Every Hero Who Transformed in Nightwing’s Vampire Army (Ranked Weakest to Strongest)
Prepare to dive into Armageddon as every hero enlisted in Nightwing’s vampire army from DC vs. Vampires is ranked weakest to strongest.
DC vs. Vampires: World War Z Sparks Three-Sided War–Vampire Queen Barbara Gordon Vs. Vampire Damian Wayne Vs. Human Resistance Leader Green Arrow
DC vs. Vampires: World War V marks a departure from its predecessors in the Elseworlds series by transforming the former two-sided conflict between humans and vampires into a three-sided war. The primary factions engaged in this conflict include Vampire Queen Barbara Gordon’s forces, Damian Wayne’s guerrilla fighters, and Green Arrow’s human resistance. Interestingly, Robin and his fighters stand alone in opposition to the vampire onslaught, as Oliver Queen seeks to negotiate a truce with the vampire queen rather than engage in combat.
This will create an intriguing dynamic among the various factions in this conflict. In previous installments of the series, Green Arrow and his resistance actively opposed the vampires, who were led by Vampire King Dick Grayson until his demise at the hands of Batgirl. However, it appears that the significant losses suffered by the humans have prompted Oliver to seek a more peaceful resolution. The teaser for the series indicates that peace is not an option for Robin, though. Despite being a vampire himself, he is determined to eradicate Batgirl’s hordes and will not rest until they are defeated.

Green Arrow Is Prepared to Dishonor Red Hood’s Ultimate Sacrifice By Betraying the Bat-Family
With Robin unwilling to yield to the vampire queen, Green Arrow faces a monumental decision in the upcoming series: Will he stand alongside Damian in the battle against evil, or will he sacrifice the boy in pursuit of peace? If Green Arrow chooses to sacrifice Robin, it would constitute the ultimate betrayal to the Bat-Family (who had been Oliver’s allies from the beginning of the vampire war) and would also dishonor Red Hood, who had sacrificed himself so that Damian could live. Therefore, if Green Arrow ultimately decides to kill Robin in this Elseworlds, it would mark a tragic full-circle moment.
