Alan Tudyk is one of the most prolific actors in the world. He has worked steadily on stage and screen for two decades and is also a highly acclaimed voice actor. It is in this capacity that he played multiple roles in DC Studios‘ first production, Creature Commandos. However, much like fellow Firefly alumnus Nathan Fillion, Tudyk has played many DC Comics characters.

His first turn as a superhero was playing the Barry Allen version of The Flash in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The 2010 animated series was the first time Alan Tudyk voiced a superhero. It would not be the last.

Green Arrow may be the most varied DC role Alan Tudyk ever tackled. He first voiced Oliver Queen in the Young Justice animated series. Years later, he played the Green Arrows of two worlds in the Injustice series of fighting games. Finally, he voices yet another Green Arrow variant in the 2015 Infinite Crisis game.

In 2019, Alan Tudyk played Mr. Nobody in the first season of Doom Patrol. Originally a common crook named Eric Morden, Mr. Nobody paid a Nazi scientist to give him super powers. The resulting experiments drove him mad but gave him a limited ability to alter reality. He used this power to act as both the villain and the narrator of the lives of the Doom Patrol.

The Harley Quinn animated series and its Kite Man: Hell Yeah! spinoff showcase Tudyk’s range as a voice actor. His most prominent roles are The Joker and Clayface. However, Tudyk also voices Calendar Man, Doctor Trap, Condiment King, Firefly, Ocean Master, and Daily Planet editor Perry White.

Tudyk is similarly employed in Creature Commandos, where his chief role is the frightening Doctor Phosphorus. He also played Dr. Will Magnus and the Clayface of the DCU. It is speculated that he may play one or both of these roles in future live-action DCU films.
