It has been a rough few years for the Green Lantern Corps. The organization was taken over by the United Planets, before being corrupted and decimated along with the other Corps. Thankfully, a reserve Central Power Battery was hidden on Earth before the departure of the Guardians of the Universe. This leads to the reformation of the team in a new DC All-In series.
The new Green Lantern Corps series will be co-written by Jeremy Adams, spinning out of his current monthly comic centered around Hal Jordan. He is joined on the writing duties by Cyborg author Morgan Hampton. The artwork will be provided by both Fernando Pasarín and Oclair Albert.

It would be unfair to say that the Green Lantern Corps has been entirely absent from the world of comics of late. John Stewart recently concluded a solo miniseries, leading into the Green Lantern Civil Corps Special. The monthly Green Lantern book has also featured backup stories profiling various characters, like Jessica Cruz and Guy Gardner. However, it has been a while since any of the Corps members besides Jordan or Stewart have taken center stage.
The new series aims to address that issue, being a true ensemble piece. The main cover for the first issue features John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Jessica Cruz, Jo Mullein, Guy Gardner, Simon Baz, and Keli Quintela. The summary of the first issue’s plot also promises action in plenty, to involve the whole squad.
The chief threat facing the new team is the Fractal Lanterns. These corrupted foot soldiers of the United Planets have the ability to channel the whole Emotional Spectrum, rather than just the Green Light of Will. It has been suggested this is causing an instability in the Spectrum, resulting in the manifestation of strange new powers. This may explain the new villain Sorrow, who draws power from sadness. Another issue facing the Green Lantern Corps will be stopping Sorrow and his mysterious master from creating a power battery.
Green Lantern Corps #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on February 12, 2025.
