Green Lantern Hal Jordan just got an epic new ride—one even Batman would appreciate. But does the Emerald Knight actually need this set of wheels, considering Green Lanterns can reach phenomenal speeds using their Ring’s powers? Probably not. But who needs practicality when you can look like a total badass?
…it would be epic to see the Dark Knight and the Emerald Knight race each other on their respective rides.
Set to release on March 26, 2025, Jeremy Adams and Jack Herbert’s Green Lantern #21 will follow Hal Jordan as he reunites with Kyle, Superboy, and Odyssey, who are fending off attacks from the Sorrow—and an even greater threat: Starbreaker.

Everything is emotional as Hal makes his way back to Kyle, Superboy, and Odyssey, who attempt to fend off attacks from the Sorrow and an even bigger threat — Starbreaker! Make way for a cosmic battle for pieces to a new power battery that spells doom for the universe.
With Superboy joining in on the intergalactic heroics, this issue promises to be epic, bringing back the long-missed dynamic between Kyle and Kon, as fans will remember it was the Green Lantern who taught Superboy how to draw when he was just starting out on his journey to becoming a hero. Beyond this highly anticipated dynamic, the spotlight shifts back to Hal Jordan, with Xermánico’s main cover art featuring the Emerald Knight riding a construct motorcycle.
Hal Jordan Debuts His New Green Lantern Motorcycle
Cover C Card Stock Variant by Laura Braga for Green Lantern #21 (2025)
Xermánico’s cover art depicts Starbreaker looming over Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern rides what appears to be a Café Racer-style motorcycle, created with his Power Ring. While the glowing emerald light emanating from the bike makes it difficult to discern all the details, the single large round headlight, minimalist design with exposed machinery, and round, mounted mirrors on the handlebars suggest that Hal has a taste for the classics and has chosen this specific style of bike as his metal mount.
Despite Hal wearing his Green Lantern costume while riding away from the villain, it’s easy to imagine him pairing the bike with an Air Force bomber jacket, as the aesthetic of the bike and jacket complement each other perfectly. Beyond the visual appeal, it’s exciting to consider the bike’s capabilities. Given that it’s made from Hal’s will and is a construct, it undoubtedly surpasses the limitations of a normal Café Racer, making it even more intriguing—especially when it comes to racing. While there’s no indication of a Batman/Green Lantern crossover anytime soon, it would be epic to see the Dark Knight and the Emerald Knight race each other on their respective rides.
Why Would a Green Lantern Need a Motorcycle When They Can Travel at Light Speed?
Cover B Ken Lashley Card Stock Variant by Green Lantern #21
Given that Hal used his ring to create the motorcycle construct, one has to wonder: what’s the point when he can fly and likely reach speeds far faster than the bike can? Granted, Hal isn’t wearing a Corps-issued Power Ring anymore, but rather one fashioned from his own willpower, so he doesn’t have the ability to travel through transluminal space or exceed light speed. But he can still fly at impressive speeds of over 9,000 miles per hour, so the motorcycle seems a bit superfluous. However, if the only reason Green Lantern is riding it is because it’s badass, then that’s more than an acceptable answer.
