The following contains major spoilers for Action Comics #1068, on sale now from DC Comics.

Superman’s latest career move is already putting two of the Daily Planet’s best reporters in harm’s way.

“Lois & Clark: In Love. At Work. Parth Two” (by writer Rainbow Rowell and artist Cian Tormey) picks up not long after the story’s previous chapter left off, with the eponymous couple still reeling from the recent shakeup in their shared work life. After being pulled from his usual assignments at the Daily Planet, Clark is left covering puff pieces that will never go anywhere near the paper’s front page. Worse still, Mariposa Lujan, who has picked up Clark’s regular beat, is in way over her head alongside Jimmy Olsen when covering the Atomic Skull’s latest rampage and Superman is the only reason either of them survived.

One of Batman’s Most Underrated Villains is Back in Action

One of the most violent villains that Batman has ever faced is officially back in action, and he’s well on his way toward winning Amanda Waller’s war.

Introduced in the pages of 2023’s Power Girl #2, Mariposa Lujan made her debut as the latest intern at DC’s most iconic newspaper – the Daily Planet. At the time, Power Girl was still settling into her newfound role as a Daily Planet reporter under the guise of Paige Stetler. As such, she and Mariposa became fast friends at work, with their shared inexperience providing plenty of room for the two to bond as they figured out how to navigate the world of frequently high-stakes journalism.

In the first part of “Lois & Clark: In Love. At Work,” the former decided to strip the latter of his usual duties as a Daily Planet reporter. This came about due to the conflicting interests Lois believes that Clark suffers from while trying to cover his exploits as Superman and those of his various villains. Though Lois had previously never been concerned with this ethical dilemma before, her position as the current Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Planet following the exit of Perry White has given her good reason to take pause and consider the implications of her husband’s work.

Green Lantern Turns an Underrated DC Villain into a Huge Threat

One of DC’s greatest Green Lanterns lends more credibility to some of the world’s most ridiculous supervillains.

Albert Michaels, better known as the Atomic Skull, is one of Superman’s most classic enemies, with the original’s first appearance taking place in 1976’s Superman #303 by writer Gerry Conway and artist Curt Swan. Formerly a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs, Michaels was caught up in a tragic accident that left him exposed to experimental radiation. This subsequently transformed him into the living nuclear reactor fans know today. Although the Atomic Skull frequently fights Superman, the Man of Steel has consistently shown a willingness to offer and secure genuine help for his foe rather than beating him down.
