WARNING: Contains Potential Spoilers for PLASTIC MAN NO MORE! #3 (2024)!
One iconic hero in the DC Universe has officially quit the Justice League , but not before delivering a searing critique of the team’s self-importance and telling them exactly where they can shove their justice and self-righteous heroics. This bold outburst raises an intriguing question: is it a true reflection of the League’s shortcomings, or is it simply the manifestation of this hero’s guilty conscience?
…this series uncovers an unexplored facet of the Justice League that challenges the team’s heroic image…
DC has finally released the five-page preview for Christopher Cantwell, Jacob Edgar, and Alex Lins’ Plastic Man No More! #3—the Black Label series that offers a unique perspective on the Justice League through the eyes of Patrick “Eel” O’Brian.
However, this perspective is complicated by the fact that Plastic Man is simultaneously struggling to stop his body from “depolymerizing,” or, in simpler terms, “coming apart.” This stress, compounded by O’Brian’s involvement in the potential deaths of six of the seven Metal Men, culminates in an explosive outburst that leads him to quit the team.

#3 releases on November 6, 2024!
“Take This Justice League and Stick It Up Your Ass” – Patrick “Eel” O’Brian in Plastic Man No More! #3 (2024)
In Plastic Man No More! #3, Plastic Man inadvertently dumps six of the seven Metal Men—Gold, Iron, Lead, Mercury, Tin, and Platinum—into a molten pot, effectively killing them all, according to their brother, Uranium. This accident is particularly troubling because Eel had deceived the group into believing he wanted to help them rescue Uranium from his kidnapper, only to kidnap the Metal Man himself in a bid to create a nuclear bomb powerful enough to reverse his own depolymerization. In Issue #4, Plastic Man admits to the Justice League that most of the Metal Men were lost during the mission. However, he omits the full truth, leaving out his true intentions of rescuing Uranium and his plans to build a bomb.
Even without the complete story, the Justice League is understandably shocked and upset that Plastic Man’s operation led to the presumed deaths of six heroes. This judgment from the team, coupled with Plastic Man’s frustration over their apparent indifference to his own deteriorating condition, prompts an explosive outburst. He calls them out on their “self-importance” and highlights their lack of respect for him, despite his dedication to fighting alongside them. He ends his rant with a barbed insult: “You can take this Justice League and stick it up your ass.” The preview concludes here, indicating that this issue will bring significant changes to Plastic Man’s status as a hero.

Plastic Man’s POV Shows a New Side of the Justice League (& It’s Not Flattering)
Cover B Martin Morazzo Variant for Plastic Man No More! #3 (2024)
This series offers a rare and unflattering portrayal of the Justice League through the eyes of a C-list character like Plastic Man. It depicts the premier superhero team as a clique, with A-list members displaying little concern or respect for their lesser-known counterparts, such as O’Brian. This dynamic is starkly illustrated by Plastic Man’s outburst, which highlights the team’s disregard for heroes who feel marginalized and overlooked. By sharing Plastic Man’s unique ‘behind the scenes’ perspective, this series uncovers an unexplored facet of the Justice League that challenges the team’s heroic image.
