The following contains major spoilers for DC All In Special #1, on sale now from DC Comics.
The most enigmatic Earth in the entire DC Universe has finally been revealed – And it is horrifying.
“Alpha” by writers Joshua Williamson and Scott Snyder and artist Daniel Sampere picks up shortly after Amanda Waller’s fall from power and the end of her war on the world’s heroes, who have taken it upon themselves to form a bigger and better Justice League than ever before. Unfortunately, their inaugural ceremony is interrupted by the arrival of Darkseid who, while bonded to the Spectre, poses a bigger threat than ever before. Luckily, the Justice League Unlimited are more than capable of bringing Darkseid down, and in doing so they finally open the doors to the Absolute Universe. Or, as it is better known, the Elseworld.
An Underrated DC Icon Becomes the Multiverse’s Most Important Hero
One of the greatest heroes of a long-lost universe is now the most important figure in the entire DC Universe.

The alternate reality known as the Absolute Universe was first seen in the pages of 2021’s Dark Nights: Death Metal #7 by writer Scott Snyder and artists Greg Capullo, Yanick Paquette, and Bryan Hitch. After defeating and destroying The Batman Who Laughs, Wonder Woman was given the chance to usher in a whole new era for the Multiverse at large. In doing so, a new world that appeared to be an infant Earth was born and designated as Elseworld.
The pathway to this new Absolute Universe has been opened thanks to the extreme measures taken by the world’s heroes during their war against Amanda Waller in the pages of Absolute Power. Apart from using an army of Amazo androids to steal the heroes’ powers, Waller spread violent disinformation and propaganda to turn public opinion even further in her favor. Fortunately, Waller was ultimately defeated by a coordinated effort on the part of nearly every hero on Earth, as well as many villains, all of whom would have been wiped out by their enemy’s budding regime.
The Titans Just Became DC’s Infinity Stones
The Titans become DC’s very own Infinity Stones, and, now, they have the chance to push back against one of their most dangerous enemies.
On top of giving the Absolute Universe an epic, mildly terrifying introduction, DC All In Special #1 marks the official debut of a new Justice League Unlimited. This latest iteration of the Justice League stands as the largest by far and was formed with the express intent of opening its doors to future heroes as necessary. While the Titans are still operating as they were, it seems many of their members are now on the roster of the Justice League Unlimited, as well.
