If you’re one of the many hoping for a non-Suicide Squad live-service game from Warner Bros., then you just might be in luck.

That’s because it appears that WB Games Montreal is gearing up for another AAA title within the DC Comics universe. Information about WB Games Montreal’s future in the video game space comes by way of a recent job posting for a Senior Producer on its Game Development team.

The job posting, which can be found here, notes that the hire will be “working on AAA titles set in the DC Comics Universe.” No specific franchise is mentioned, though WB Montreal has extensive experience in the Batman world, having shipped Batman Arkham Origins and Gotham Knights.

Remember When DC Games Were On Top?

DC used to be on top when it came to games, but somewhere along the line, that golden era crashed and burned.

After the disastrous launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, many fans have been clamoring for a return to basics, namely the Batman Arkham series.

Outside of finishing support for Suicide Squad’s Year 1, not much else is known about what’s to come from WB. That might be by design, as it was reported that Warner Bros. was taking a $200 million loss on the project.

Elsewhere, the planned Wonder Woman game from Monolith is reportedly undergoing “troubled development.” The game, which will make use of the patented nemesis system, was originally revealed at the 2021 edition of The Game Awards, however, has had zero updates in the time since.

In June, concept art and plot details of the Wonder Woman game were leaked online, though it’s unclear if any of these elements will be in the final product. Beyond that, there isn’t much to glean when it comes to future DC games. That said, it’s possible that WB Montreal could have more to share at a later date, as it appears the studio is gearing up for a full slate of titles.
